Renewables :: sustainable energy

Water technology

There's been so much media blasts in the last few days about sustainable energy options, discussions on nuclear, wind turbine farms at sea, wave and tidal power, solar energy devices, biomass, and the debates continue.

Waterpower is something that particularly fascinates me and has done for many years. Anyone who knows me also knows I have a passion for watermills and waterpower technology. Twenty years ago when I was doing my first watermill restoration project I was also researching industrial evolution.

I believe the development of waterpower through the ages is taken for granted and so misunderstood. Industrialisation has come about by harnessing the power within water. Waterpower technology appears in most ancient cultures around the planet as means of manufacture going back millennia. Wind power is much more recent stuff. (I've written about this in more detail elsewhere, so ask if you'd like more on the subject.)

Thesedays we're beginning to learn more about - let's call it - "personal" water i.e. the fact that our bodies, including our DNA are mainly water; quality of water we drink; recent findings on the memory of water and it's crystalline structure, and so on.

I believe water is a potential power source for the planet's human population, and is the one of the least understood elements in nature. I am convinced there are deep revelations yet to be made and I'm not sure that scientists are much advanced in their research. I hope I'm proved otherwise.

Twenty years ago, whilst studying waterpower evolution, I had an intuitive channeling. My understanding is that the nuclear debate has very limited vision; the new generation of wind-turbine farms will be decommissioned and de-rigged quicker than they're being built. These are not the only options, and there's another story yet to unfold. The discovery of the power within the atomic structure of the water molecule will have a significant effect on power technology and the associated economics. My understanding is that, whilst other powersource systems are limited in their application or costly etc. etc., the harnessing of power within water is literally limitless, close to perpetual motion in a seamless feedback loop.

I also believe that when this is discovered it will also be a major indicator of the maturation of the human scientific progress.

Group Biofields :: collective energies

Colourful Consensus

A frequent topic of discussion is on management and governance of collective principles, gaining informed agreement, consensus, and what is democracy ....

Whatever we call any system, it's still a man-made construct and therefore subject to interpretation, manipulation, and all the self-seeking control stuff we're all too familiar with, non of which is very enlightening. It would seem to me that the most important thing is not the words we use to describe a system of debating/ management/ governance, nor the system itself for they are all fallible. What's most important is the intent of those contributing to process.

Words can be manipulated to bring about a variety of meanings and outcomes, rational 'truths', justifications. The colour of energy however, just 'is' and therefore is not subjected to any of that criteria. Energy patterns don't know morale right or wrong, positive/negative, just or injust, energy 'is'! Therefore right intent is the expression of 'good' energy (i.e. non-divisive, non-manipulative) seen in etheric colour or resonance.

One key example for me is when we were co-founding the UK Reiki FederationI use (apologies to those who've heard it all before):

There was a meeting in London with all the major schools within the UK invited to attend with a view to gaining consensus, organising professional practice in preparation for self-regulation of the profession in UK healthcare law. I was the 'new boy on the block', not sure why I was there, and very much wanted to just observe and support. Naively, I was awe-inspired thinking "wow, being in the same presence of such wisdom, such semi-ascended beings." I was not sure I was worthy to be at such a meeting so I'd best not say anything and just tune-in and absorb the energies.

We did a large Reiki-circle. Discussions commenced, I was still trying to visualise the large pillar of pure white light ascending from this circle and I was having great difficulty. Thinking it was more about me and my inability to match their vibrationary level/ frequency, I worked hard to listen and also tune-in more precisely. I realised that the pillar of white light from the group energy was actually a muddy colour and a very distorted shape. My intuition told me that either there was something horribly wrong OR, conversely there was about to be a catastrophe (in London they happen frequently). I guess both were right.

I listened hard with 'the antennae up', not just for a hour but for the whole morning and into the afternoon. Finally, I could stand it no longer, the arguments, the misquoting and the mis-representations, I asked the facilitator if I could speak. I fed-back to the group what I understood to be the sifted or 'filtered' expressed collective intentions and asked that if that were the case and everyone agreed, there was also a constructive way forward which embraced them all.

Without going into chapter and verse, that's what happened and why/ how I became the founding 'chair' for the first five years of the Federation. The point I'm trying to make here is that I had no former intention and zero expectation this would be the case.

During those formative years, instead of a hierarchical structure we were 360 degrees, we didn't have an executive board but a Core Team. When Core Team met, irrespective of a logical organised agenda to address (from admin) we always held a circle, sensed or 'read' the energy and worked with 'what is'. We also tried to make it fun and enjoyable, rather than a burden or obligation. Later in the day we'd check to see that we'd also covered the agenda.

Core Team members all had to adhere to the five Reiki Precepts (as set by Dr Mikao Usui) and ALL also to be in continual self-practice. The purpose and value in virtue was for all to do our best to get the intent as pure as possible and to support each other if it were otherwise. It's not to say that we didn't have problems, far from it. They were pioneering times, sometimes bizarre taking us into unexpected areas of unfolding, but we had the faith and confidence in our collective endeavors. We succeeded.

I believe the model started to breakdown when we became less rigorous in the insistence of self-practice and the Precepts for Core Team. People (Reiki Masters) would just accept it as a 'given' without question (because of who they were, where they were coming from and what they were trying to do). A political, fear engendering blame culture began to creep in, as with most 'normal' organisations. Time became often more focused on personalities and politicals rather than getting the intent right for the Highest Good, irrespective of words expressed. The colour of collective energy tells another story!

My opinions on Consensus and a new way of managing societal being, our collectives? Yes, it I believe it can work when a discipline which is openly agreed and adhered to by all who are co-opted into process, along with a shared commitment to see it through. The sum is greater than its parts, and can still be relatively 'clear' without too much baggage. (I've not seen many working good examples though.) Hoping "it'll all be alright on the night" is not enough!

For those not familiar with Reiki Precepts:
  • Just for today do not worry
  • Just for today do not anger
  • Honour your parents, teachers and elders
  • Earn your living honestly
  • Show gratitude to every living thing
Can you imagine how different our political structures and governments would be, our captains of industry, our media moguls, if this were recognised adopted. We wouldn't waste more time and energy 'arguing the toss' and taking stances, we'd be saying "oohh, we're SO 'off-colour' and need to be well to work well; let's take time-out to reflect, refocus, and radiate more healthily, it'll be more efficient in the longrun, save loads of time and angst!"

Thought Technology :: waves of intent

Faster Than The Speed Of Light

We know in our everyday lives that there's more 'alive' in the cosmos which is beyond our visible range of the electromagnetic spectrum (i.e. the bits we can see), and yet most of us still try to use the conditioning of old-style physics to justify and rationalise our thought processes.

Einstein tells us that nothing can travel more than 186,282.397 miles per second. That's probably OK for those who believe they live just in a 3 or 4 dimensional timespace. However, our recent scientific theories tells us of an 11 dimensional Multiverse with the nearest Universe being less than 1mm away from YOUR skin! (Mine too!!) So what's going on in all these far out places, these realms of hyper space, no further than the end of your arm??? Hhhmmm .....

So, I wonder where all the ascended beings hang out in the heavens, and the angelic realms (mentioned in just about all faith systems) in some far-off remote galaxy? Unlikely. More likely they're here, now, just beyond our five-sense perception.

Prayer, distant healing, healing circles also appears in some form in just about all faith systems too, along with sound such as mantra and hymns. Why? Because it's using thought technology which, if done in the right, in a focused way can bring instant and miraculous results. NLP and EFT techniques are useful modern examples.

In thinking of others, it's no good just thinking words "poor sods down the road, they've had it a bit rough lately, wish them well," because evidently, the intent isn't rightly applied to bring about the results requested, it's not sent on the right frequency-band.

Why do we use chanting, sound vibration and certain music? To prepare, to tune-in to the right 'station'. Why do we use meditation and prayer? Simply, to send the right 'signal'. When we're in delta and theta brain-wave states - it's proven - "cosmic consciousness" and "miracles happen"! So why not spend more time working in these states?

I've never met anyone who has NOT had phenomenal experience, one way or another. By phenomenal I mean beyond 3D, 5 sense explanation. Miracles happen all over the place and yet we still doubt it! Ponder on your individual role and what the collective impact would be if people 'unplugged' themselves from old-conditioning, the entrapment? What proportion of your think time is spent on control-drama and conditioning and how much is spent on miracle mindedness? Therefore, what aggregate energetic signals are you/we projecting out? Wouldn't it be great to step-up the frequencies of our hearts and minds in a more personally empowered way?

There are as many ways to God (Unity Consciousness, Supreme Being, the Divine, and all other names/titles) as there are people. All people share the potential and, surely that's what brotherhood and sisterhood is about. Religion IS separation as it claims some kind of unique in-road to spirituality.

Most agree that being of service to one's fellow man is a worthy cause, yet most of the time we are not in service to ourselves. Think, about what signals you're sending out to the cosmos as well about what you're receiving.

Preparedness and Mind Mastery techniques are about purifying and filtering the channel, plugging in the right powerpack or 'charge', and tuning-in the best frequency band.

Agnihotra :: homa therapy

Agnihotra Adventure

A few people in the UK are asking where to source the fuel (cow pat) locally. We also have practioners (in the south) offering to set something up. If you're interested or can help do let us know.

We are planning a physical adventure as well as a spiritual exploration to find out more. The main purpose of our trip is to experience and learn the ancient Ayurvedic science. This purification of the atmosphere has been resurrected for the benefit of mankind.

Agnihotra is a gift to humanity from the Vedas, the most ancient body of knowledge known. It is given at this most crucial time to enable us to get out of the extremely polluted conditions we have created on our planet. We have the power to change these fundamental conditions by changing what is ours to change … OURSELVES … and our immediate environment. A beneficial change in our environment affects beneficially ALL OF LIFE.

The simple Agnihotra fire, practiced at sunrise and sunset will heal the atmosphere, and this purified atmosphere will, in turn heal you, your family, animals and plants around you and your home. Feel the tremendous effects of stress being lifted as peace, love and tranquillity enter your life. Find out how and why.

Based at the Tapovan spiritual health retreat in North Maharashtra in India, the tranquil, rural setting is amidst fruit orchard or mango, almonds, figs, and Ayurvedic herbs which is ideal for meditation. Simple nature-cure treatments including mud baths, steam baths with Ayurvedic herbs along with full body massage. Learn simple, sustainable lifestyle skills including sprouting, dehydrating food, gourmet vegetarian cooking, seed saving, vermiculture and some useful meditation techniques. You can participate in eco-friendly housing constructions projects with locally available materials, e.g. bamboo, mud, straw, etc., also play with the farm animals and participate in simple craft jewelling making sessions.

The expedition elements of the adventure include exploring Ellora and Ajanti Caves, both World Heritage sites. The Hindu, Jain and Buddhist caves and shrines were chiselled into perfection between the 4th and 9th century. Also visits to the temples in nearby villages on a bullock-cart, journeying to other ancient temples set on one of India’s sacred rivers, walking the banks of the Narmada Other local attractions include the Temple of Trees, an evening concert of Bhjans featuring local villagers.

On Retreat:

This holy place is unique and run by westerners who follow a simple Vedic lifestyle. Accommodation is for 2 persons sharing with bed linen and towels provided. Each person will be under the care of a trained Ayurvedic doctor for the entire stay. A cleansing, nourishing diet will be adapted to suit each persons individual needs.

The typical daily pattern on retreat :: begin the day with sunrise Ayurvedic Healing Fire :: simple yoga on the rooftop terrace :: morning stroll and rock collecting :: mud bath plus choice of spinal bath, steam bath or massage :: hands-on learning about sprouting grains, legumes, seeds and nuts :: participation in the preparation of gourmet vegetarian dishes, both raw and cooked :: making simple wholemeal chapattis or bread in the home-made oven :: sustainable lifestyle skills :: meditation and breathing techniques :: sunset Agnihotra Healing Fire.

The duration of this adventure will be finalised once we’ve ascertained the level of interest. However, it is likely to be around three weeks and will include at least the above activities. Sometime between Oct 2006 and March 2007.

Pineal Gland :: our cosmic antenna

Awakening Beyond Five Senses

Coincidentally, having just re-read the HRM (see Sungazing post) info on pineal activation and the scientific measurement of his own, I also just received details from Gerde, of a workshop by Dr Saskia Bosman of the Foundation for Environmental Consciousness, about the very same subject. I quote ....

"In a distant past our pineal gland used to be our third eye and, even more than an eye: a cosmic receiver and sender of multi-dimensional information. The pineal gland is now a tiny gland in the centre of our brain, connected with all our senses and the rest of our body. Through the other senses it communicates with the outer world in electrical impulses.

"With its spectrum of hormones it regulates our state of consciousness, e.g. waking, sleeping, dreaming, various meditative states including those states in which we may have mystical experiences. The mind and senses are paths for occult energies that work through various psychophysical centers or chakras, among the highest of which is the pineal gland. These centres continue to develop as we evolve towards spirit.

So, while the third eye or pineal gland has certain physiological activities in conjunction with the pituitary gland - together they regulate the rhythms of metabolism and growth - it is also the physical organ of intuition, inspiration, spiritual vision, and divine thought. The pituitary gland is the thought receiver and the pineal gland, often called our true master gland, is the thought transmitter.

"The pineal gland is the very key to the highest and divinest consciousness in man - his omniscient, spiritual and all embracing mind. It is the
Single Eye.

"The more light you can store in your body, the higher your vibration will become. The higher your vibration is, the easier it becomes to elevate your surrounding as well as the people around you. Now is the time to reawaken our pineal gland as a cosmic antenna."

The two day workshop covers not only a lot of the theoretical information but also practical exercises particularly, visualisation, meditation, Qi Gong, breathwork. Also references biblical quotes and similar it also talks of the coming together of science and spirituality.

Sungazing, it seems, and the work of HRM is not just about using our retinas and optic nerves to 'main-line' solar source. Solar Yoga is also a special mind-set, a focused intent which also involves other 'doing', some of these subtle yet profound other exercises, and probably more.

As they become habit, probably they are just done intuitively, almost unknowingly. Perhaps, consquently, they are discussed even less.

Pineal (re)activation is also discussed quite a lot in Flower of Life training and the work of Drunvalo. It seems to be on everyone's mind at the moment! (pun intended)
